From A preview of my Bujinkan video exploring Togakure Ryū Biken with 霞の法 Kasumi No Hō. We warmed up with 一刀捕 Ittō Dori. We use 手鉤 shukō or a hidden weapon to disarm an attacker with a sword. Connect your body to the attacker’s tsuka to ensure your safety and take his sword by moving your feet. For the first steps into kasumi no hō, I demonstrated a movement I learned from Noguchi Sensei that is a type of 巻落 Maki-otoshi. As the attacker thrusts in, I roll up my 忍者刀 Ninja-tō into 霞之構 kasumi no kamae for a parry. Then I quickly roll it back down to capture the center line and counter thrust.
