Kumbakonam - A town in the southeast Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Kumbakonam is known as a Temple town due to the prevalence of number of temples here. There are more than 150 Temples with the limits of Kumbakonam. This town is famous for Mahamaham Festival which attracts people all over the world. Apart from these, Kumbakonam is also known for Navagraha (Planetary) Temples. Each Planetary deity has own temple in and around the town.
