A soilless medium consisting of shredded sphagnum peat moss, wood fibres, dolomitic/calcitic limestone, and perlite. (saturated with inoculated tap water pH'd to 6.2) . . Transplanting while the soil base from the original container is still wet can prevent damage from abrasion or compression. Water the edges of the soil, slowly and deliberately. The force of free flowing water can compress the soil greatly. (Which is BAD) Sometimes, I pour my solution in the center, creating a cascading effect that disperses water in a wider area. . .
