The song “Nomad“ by Calum Graham has always been especially inspiring to me because it resonates with my lifestyle. For many years, I worked as a field service engineer, flying out on business trips every week with a large suitcase full of tools. To find even a little time for music, I had to bring my guitar along, so I could play for a few hours in the hotel of a new city after work. With this kind of routine, it often felt like my efforts were not worth it, and sometimes it even seemed out of place. Also, moving from city to city and country to country, I found it increasingly difficult to maintain my interests without losing myself in each new context. But this song motivated me not to give up and to carry along what I felt was important, even if it didn’t fit in my carry-on. The music video was shot in the incredibly beautiful and unique Armenia, home to some of the kindest and most pleasant people I have ever met.A special thanks to my brother, who joined me on this adventurous journey to film the video ourselves. We traveled hundreds of kilometers together and shot around 200 clips, from which we later compiled the final video. __________________________________________________________________________ Песня Nomad от Calum Graham всегда была для меня какой-то особенно вдохновляющей, за счет созвучности с моим образом жизни.Много лет я работал выездным инженером и каждую неделю летал в командировки с большим чемоданом инструментов. И для того, чтобы находить хоть какое-то время на музыку, мне приходилось возить с собой ещё и гитару, чтобы хотя бы пару часов поиграть в гостинице нового города после работы. С таким режимом это часто казалось не стоящим подобных усилий и порой вообще - как будто бы неуместным. Да и в целом, меняя города и страны, я стал чувствовать как сложно сохранить свои интересы, не разбавив себя в очередном новом контексте. Но эта песня заряжала меня не сдаваться и любой ценой тащить за собой то, что мне казалось важным, даже если оно и не лезет в ручную кладь. Клип был снят в невероятно красивой и самобытной Армении, где проживают одни самых приятных и добрых людей, с которыми мне довелось повстречаться!
