Ostracods (“seed shrimp“) are small crustaceans, 1-2 mm in size. They are common in planted aquariums, and are sign of good quality water. They are not dangerous, even though they can eat the food that your tiny shrimp may want, but are completely harmless. They swim around like “drunken bees“ and are generally just being cute and funny.
