Johanna and Klara Söderberg, the Swedish sisters known as First Aid Kit, have gone from Internet sensation to international acclaim in just a few short years. By mixing elements of country and folk with an indie-rock sensibility, First Aid Kit has won legions of fans who are captivated by their gorgeous harmonies and introspective, evocative songwriting. AG connected with the duo backstage at Oakland’s Fox Theater before yet another sold-out show, where we talked about their earliest musical memories, their songwriting inspiration, their latest release, Stay Gold, Klara’s special Stehr guitars, and more.
