Frijid Pink House of the Rising Sun

House of the Rising Sun (Remastered) is performed by Frijid Pink in 1970. The rock band members are drummer Richard Stevers, guitarist Gary Ray Thompson, bassist Tom Harris, and lead singer Tom Beaudry (aka Kelly Green). Frijid Pink's distorted guitar-driven, hard-rock rendition of “House of the Rising Sun,“ reached the Top Ten on the US Billboard Hot 100 in 1970. The one-hit-wonder gold record sold over one million copies. The traditional folk song about New Orleans was popularized by Eric Burdon and The Animals' version in 1964. On February 1, 2021, Brian May posted a history and a tutorial for guitar players of 'The House of the Rising Sun' intro. This song inspired the Queen guitar great to become a musician back in the early Sixties.
