Learn how to start to crochet in oval using the T-shirt yarn. This is the perfect pattern for beginner! It is very simple and easy to follow and work up pretty quickly. For instance, I want my finished crochet mat to be 30 inches long and 18 inches wide. I subtract from 30 inches 18 and get 12 inches. As such, my starting chain should be 12 inches. Another example, I want my finished crochet mat to be 25 inches long and 15 inches wide. I subtract from 25 inches 15 and get 10 inches.
