A restored LP cut, “The Wind that Shakes the Barley“, from the album, “From Bunclody to Avondale“, with a haunting a cappella performance by Anne Byrne, circa 1972-73, of this traditional Irish classic. The album, “From Bunclody to Avondale“ was released in 1982, as a compilation of two previous albums, released in the early 1970's. The song, “The Wind that Shakes the Barley“ was written by Robert Dwyer Joyce in the mid 1800's.
