US President Joe Biden denounced on Monday the “outrageous“ request for an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made by the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that the Hague-based court's action may undermine ceasefire negotiations to end the Gaza conflict as Washington rushed to preserve its important ally. Prosecutor Karim Khan of the International Criminal Court is requesting arrest warrants for Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, Netanyahu, and senior Hamas officials on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
