Training for Pontoon Bridge Deployment in Support Areas of the Special Military Operation Soldiers from the 16th Engineer-Sapper Regiment of the 20th Guards Combined Arms Army, part of the “West“ group, conducted a training exercise on deploying a pontoon bridge using the PP-91M pontoon park and the PP-2005M river segment in a support area of the special military operation. In conditions closely resembling real combat situations, they quickly established a pontoon ferry across a water obstacle. The training included skills for the amphibious transport of equipment using a tracked amphibious transporter, countermeasures against drones, and establishing electronic warfare and aerial observation posts to ensure the safety of the crossing operations.
