One more from Doug to close out the audio posts for the week- Saxon's headlining set at the Warfield on their first headlining tour of the US. Like I mentioned before- I saw the San Jose show from this tour and I was a huge fan... until Crusader came out. It was still a great show and the start of set with Power and the Glory/Princess of the Night was awesome (even if they screwed up the end of PotN). It still blows me away that he got such great results in that room- all of my recordings sound like an echo chamber there. Speaking of Doug, look at this absolutely INSANE run of shows for this week. You know it's a good one when you need to bail on Saxon's set in San Jose to make one of Megadeth's first shows ever: 4-14-84 Berkeley Ruthies Megadeth Blizzard 4-15-84 San Francisco The Stone Megadeth Razors Edge Empire 4-16-84 Santa Rosa Veterans Memorial Saxon Accept 4-17-84 San Francisco War
