Reverorum Ib Malacht is a scarcely classifiable band consisting of a plethora of vocalists and other musicians, one of which being a member of Emit. Formed in 1997. “Instead of a typical shreiking dude fronting the group, Reverorum ops to use actual period sacred chants! So what you have here is pungent and vile metal that curses the Christian race while Gregorian and Renaissance choirs sing paraises to god over the top of it. The artwork is colored and excellent for demo material. People who have problems with looking at male genitaila should avoid since the art has photos of naked men stretched out in supplication on cold wet stones. The front cover is a ghostly image of Judas in his act of kissing Jesus on the cheek to identify him to the Roman centurions. Indeed there is tons of Biblical refences in this demo, for it seems that the band has quite an alternative viewpoint on Satan and god. Visiting their label's website will give more detail. In all, the band his actually done some serious study and research on the Bible and religion. There is a huge list of Bible passage numerals in the booklet, almost one for each book plus a huge quantity from the Apocrypha (the Bible books rejected by the King James bible)! Apparently, to this band, you must actually know god and Jesus and uderstand Christianity fully to truly battle against it. With the constant biblical themes, refecences, and historical content, it is clear that this band does not do what the typical BM band does. Here, Reverorum ib Malacht creates a force that is not a violent murder of Christianity, instead I would say it is a rape of it.“ -Sperma Draconis (07/02/2006).
