Tuning RF filters can be a tedious task and in many cases even impossible without a specialized background in engineering. #FilterDesigner3D enables the engineer, not only to design advanced RF filters, but also to streamline the tuning process in the measurement lab. In this video, the efficient computer-aided tuning of Filters Designer 3D in CST Studio Suite® is demonstrated with a 6th order cavity filter designed for the L-band. The advanced coupling matrix extraction allows the user to get insight of the filter topology and focus on the parts that are detuned, while overcoming dispersive and parasitic effects.
