From my experience of using PCEM, 86Box, and Dosbox Pure, I have to say Dosbox Pure ran the smoothest. In other words, you don't have to have the latest, 10th, 11th, or 12th generation Intel CPU to run Dosbox Pure, like you do with PCEM, or 86Box. I ran Dosbox Pure on a I5-3570K, and a I7-4790K, and it ran fine on both systems. Never the less, there are limitations with Dosbox Pure in that, it doesn't support 3dfx Voodoo 2, Voodoo 3, Voodoo Banshee, or Voodoo 4/5. Dosbox Pure only supports 3dfx Voodoo 1, so you won't be able to run Windows 98 games released from 1998 to 2000. Windows games released from the period of late 1998 to 2000 require at least a Pentium II processor with a Voodoo 3 2000 video card. In late 1999, I had a Pentium 3 850 MHZ as my main computer with a Voodoo 3 2000 with 16 MB of vram, and 512 MB of system RAM. That was the standard for late 1999 to 2002, and in late 2002 it was the Pentium IV era for me. The standard for 1994 to 1996 was a Pentium 100 MHZ running Windows 3.1 or Windows 95. The standard for 1996 to early 1997 was a Pentium 166 MMX with a 3dfx Voodoo 1 4 MB with a S3 Virge video card. The standard for 1997 to 1998 was a Pentium II 400 MHZ with a Voodoo 2 8 MB with a S3 Virge Video card. Dosbox Pure fills the 1994 to 1997 niche, and many great Windows 95 titles were released from 1995 to 1997. If you have a lower end computer, running Dosbox Pure on Retroarch then you won't be a disappointment. I was able to run a lot of fun games, like Starcraft, Wing Commander Prophecy, Virtua Cop 2, Tomb Raiders, Age of Empires, Warcraft II, Quake II, Mechwarrior II Mercenaries 3dfx, and many other titles. This emulator is a lot easier to setup compared to PCEM or 86Box which is much more technical. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ [Links] ◙ Windows 98 Full Retail ISO • ◙ Windows 98 Startup Disk • ◙ Retroarch • ◙ 3dfx Driver • ◙ 7zip • ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ █▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█▄█
