In the wake of deadly floods that swept through Libya, 51-year-old Sabreen Blil searched in vain through the rubble of the building that presumably holds the bodies of her brother and his seven-member family. “Just let me find even one body… Who can we hold accountable? Who is responsible? What is the fault of the people and souls who died? Why would a whole family die? A whole family was finished,” she said. State media said at least 891 buildings had been destroyed in the city, whose mayor has said 20,000 people may have died. Meanwhile, Mohammad al-Qabisi, head of Derna's Wahda Hospital, said there were fears waterborne diseases would spread but no cholera cases had been recorded so far.
