This is not real wwii guncam footage. This is my #2 kill compilation recorded on the Digital Combat Simulator (DCS) with old film effects added! In this footage, we have P-47 flown by the Brazilian Air Force (1st Fighter Aviation Group “Senta a púa“). Gun cameras, or also known as gun cam or even as guncam, are a special type of camera mounted on aircraft and used primarily to help measure tactical effectiveness and were commonly used on operational aircraft to record air kills. These cameras are triggered to start filming by the firing of a weapon, hence the name.
