One of the final major works by George Whitefield Chadwick, The Angel of Death was written in 1918. The symphonic poem was inspired by Daniel Chester French’s bas-relief, which was carved for the tomb of the sculptor Martin Milmore. Performed by Nashville Symphony Orchestra Conducted by Kenneth Schermerhorn
