Philadelphia Derringer - Mechanical function and lock mechanism

With this video I show the mechanism of a percussion-lock-pistol. My pistol is a Spanish replica of a copy from the famous Philadelphia Deringer which was first produced in 1835. I wanted to demonstrate how loading and firing works. However because of legal reasons (outside of a shooting range) I had to substitute the black powder with some plastic pellets for demonstration. Therefore I cannot shoot in this video, but I can still show how the percussion caps work. The focus of this video is about the mechanics of the percussion lock.
