Be aggressive. Use beam to farm/break manashards. Constantly expand, because if you stay stagnant, you will lose. Mid and right shards first. Then bottom left then top right. If you can get a constant source of mana going, the only problem would be the spawnlings because the giants are too slow and you have all the spells at your disposal to deal with them. Be mindful of the freeze explosion effect. It does 100 dmg when a frozen enemy shatters. So I freeze the enemies near my choke point and any spawnlings
