The horizon line is at the top, so the cube will be seen from above. Keep in mind that the horizon line is always at the eye level. Three vanishing lines are pointing to the vanishing points, which are located on the horizon. To divide the cube's depth in half, the horizontal line is split into two equal parts. The vanishing line is used to find the middle point, marked in green here. This point is an important landmark because a perfect ellipse touches it. The center of the oval is found as the cross-point of two diagonals of the cube's footprint. I mark it in green as well.
