Reverse Pastel Painting - Lesson Plan

In traditional painting, a painter works from the background and builds up to the foreground. In a 'reverse painting' a transparent substrate, such as glass, is used and is the finished painting is viewed from the reverse side. This art form requires the foreground to be created first, and, working backward, ends with the background.
