A shot in the arm for Russia and China, and setback for US and Europe, 19 countries have expressed interest in joining the BRICS group of nations as it prepares to hold an annual summit in South Africa. The emerging-markets bloc of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa will meet in Cape Town on June 2-3 to discuss its enlargement. The countries that have expressed interest include Saudi Arabia and Iran. Other countries that have expressed interest in joining include Argentina, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Thailand, Indonesia, Nigeria, Senegal, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and a number of African countries. Brics Summit 2023 will be important where it is expected that BRICS Currency will be unveiled along with new members. This is the brics news which many G7 countries would be watching closely.
