Langmesser master strike test cutting

In this test cutting session I’m focusing on Lecküchner’s master strikes (). Four out of the six master strikes are included: 0:50 Zornhau 1:38 Wecker (also left side with the short edge) 2:56 Entrüsthau (left side without footwork) 3:15 Geferhau I’m using the last of the lower quality tatami mats that were shown in an earlier video (). They are less dense than the mats I usually use and therefore easier to cut. They are also less stable, which provides challenges of its own. Some of the cuts are done on double mats, which are roughly equivalent to one of the regular tatami mats in terms of difficulty. The langes messer I’m using is a Landsknecht Emporium Günther ().
