What prompted the Chancellor, in light of this history of this greeting, to use it in the Bundestag? “This is a cry that gained recognition after Russia’s brutal attack on Ukraine. It reminds us of a free, democratic and European Ukraine. Tomorrow these same people will say that “Sieg Heil!” - this is now a free and very democratic slogan. So what?
