Full playlist: With the successful release of their studio album, “The First Day,“ during the summer of 1993, Sylvian/Fripp embarked on an extensive tour to support the record. The lineup consisted of Trey Gunn, who resumed his role as the stick player from previous tours and studio recordings, and the addition of Pat Mastelotto on drums. Mastelotto's performance led to him being offered the drum stool in King Crimson. His membership in the group continued throughout the 1990s up until the band's final line-up in 2021. The touring ensemble was completed by producer and recording artist Michael Brook. The live album “Damage“ was recorded during the final London concerts in December 1993 and released in 1994. While the studio album showcased a measured grace and power, the live album further intensified the rock pieces, featuring extraordinary performances from all the contributors. This starkly contrasted with the quieter, more ambient material, allowing audiences to appreciate every nuance of the songs. David Sylvian's vocals reached new heights, sounding better and more at ease than ever before in a live setting. Robert Fripp delivered some of his most searing solos, adding to the intensity of the performances. The setlist included tracks from the recent studio album, beloved fan favourites from David's solo discography and Rain Tree Crow, as well as one new song, “The First Day.” #robertfripp #davidsylvian #kingcrimson #treygunn #patmastelotto #livealbum
