Manfrotto 323 & 502HD Fluid Head Dont Work... RC2 Quick Release Problems with Fluid Video Heads

I picked up a Manfrotto 502HD (MVH502AH) video fluid head along with the Manfrotto 323 RC2 Quick Release System. Unfortunately, the 323 RC2 system WILL NOT FIT with any flat plate style fluid heads, including Manfrotto 500ah, 502hd and 504hd photo / video heads.
