Former Red Bull X-Fighters champion and five-time X Games medallist Mat Rebeaud has taken eFMX to new heights as he tackled a set of unique hand-built obstacles around the world famous Laax snowpark for the SnoMX project. Rebeaud has been riding since the age of four, inspired by a long family lineage of MX riders, with one of his first exhibition sessions at the resort of Laax in the Surselva Region way back in 1999. The Swiss star finally fulfilled a dream last month to shred massive obstacles on an eFMX, an electric remodelling of the petrol crosser that won him a raft of medals and titles down the years. This SnoMX project would not have been possible on a regular FMX bike because of environmental regulations with the 38-year-old explaining it “is cool because there is no noise, no smell and no gas.“ The Payerne native, who first tricked on the cutting edge electric vehicle back in 2019, added: “For me, a Swiss guy, it's so amazing to ride my dirt bike in Laax like a snowboarder or skier.“ After a whiteo
