This is the U.S. aircraft carrier USS George Washington, one of the world’s most powerful warships, anchored in Manila Bay, 14 August 2009. Congressman Roilo Golez of Paranaque City, a graduate of the US Naval Academy at Annapolis, was a special guest of the Commander, Task Force 70. Golez was accompanied by his son City Councilor Rico Golez and Rico’s wife Belle, grandson RV Golez, a fighter plane enthusiast, and some members of their personal staff.
