It was a night to remember for Murmuration, a dance group from France that stunned the judges and the audience with their blindfolded performance on America’s Got Talent 2,023. Murmuration, which consists of 64 dancers led by stand-in leader Jibril Maillot, showcased their unique hand-based choreography that was perfectly synchronized and graceful. The group’s original creator, leader and choreographer Sadeck Berrabah, could not join them due to illness and asked his best friend Maillot to take his place. The judges were blown away by the act, which they praised for its originality, elegance and precision. Howie Mandel was so impressed that he pressed the Golden Buzzer for the group, sending them straight to the live shows2. “I am so excited about the irony and talent of my Golden Buzzer,” Mandel told People in June 2,023. “For a guy who spends 90 percent of his life wanting to avoid everyone’s hands, I never would have dreamed I would be so moved by so many strange hands.“
