The Symphony No. 98 is the sixth of Joseph Haydn's twelve London symphonies (numbers 93–104). Completed in 1792 during his first visit to London, it debuted on March 2, 1792, at the Hanover Square Rooms. Some musicologists and historians suggest that this symphony may have been Haydn’s tribute to his friend Mozart, who passed away on December 5, 1791.
