Here is a sampling of our week on the beach at Long Beach Washington for the Washington State International Kite Festival. Attendees came from as far as South Africa. The featured flyers, Maz and Sylvia Cardoso are from Brazil. The week was full of free flying and structured events for those so inclined to compete. This is the 35th Annual WSIKF. Regrettably, Ray Bethel was not present and Kite Workshop Mary did not stay long. Otherwise, the majority of the regular attendees were out in force, some with new creations, if not stories to share around the tent area. Without a doubt, Friday was the best day with perfect winds and blue skies.
