An animation by Julia Pretl for Contemporary Geometric Beadwork that shows how to build a PodCast Bead, a tool we use for “casting off“ new work. We will add sound and notes to this for a full tutorial, but for now, I'd like comments - could you make a PodCast just from seeing this? We used size 8 round beads for the center ring and size 11 Delica cylinder beads for the body. It's best to use two different colors for the increase beads, so that it is easy to sort them up and down as they are placed. We alternated blue and gold for our increase beads. Using two different beads for each layer of peyote stitch between the increases is also helpful to see the rounds build. We used orange and purple for this.
