Peel and then cut the potatoes into sticks approximately ¼ inch thick and about 3 to 4 inches long. Place the cut potatoes into a container of cold water to soak for 30 minutes. For the potatoes, feel free to use russet potatoes if you wish but I feel the yukon gold potatoes are more tender and creamy so I prefer to use those. Once the potatoes are done soaking, drain the water and rinse the potatoes under cold water and then place the potatoes onto a clean towel or paper towels. Using another clean towel or paper towels, rub the potatoes to dry them as much as possible. The dryer the potatoes are, the more likely they are to get crispy and brown up. Place the dried potatoes onto a parchment covered baking sheet in a single layer. Each fry should touch the bottom of the pan if possible. Drizzle the potatoes with the olive oil and rub it in with your hands to coat all sides of the potatoes. Then season with salt and garlic powder. Place the pan in the oven and bake at 375 degrees F. for 20 minutes. Rotate the pan and increase the temperature to 425 degrees F. and bake for another 10 minutes. That’s it! Delicious french fries are ready for your enjoyment! Serve these with ketchup or my Algeriun sauce: Algerian Sauce Ingredients: ½ cup avocado mayonnaise 2 Tbsp. tomato paste 2 Tbsp. organic yogurt, plain or vanilla will work 2tsp. To 2 Tbsp. Harrisa paste Pinch of salt 1 lemon zested 1 Tbsp. lemon juice 2 Tbsp. minced onion ½ tsp. Ground cumin ½ tsp. Garlic powder Combine everything in a bowl and stir to combine. Will keep a week or 2 in the refrigerator. Perfect on fries, sandwiches, burgers, quesadillas, or anything you want to add a touch of heat to. Thanks for watching and sharing! Rockin Robin P.S.
