SRI THYAGARAJA VAIBHAVAM Sridevi Nrithyalaya's Sri Thyagaraja Vaibhavam is a thematic dance performance, conceived and choreographed by Dr Sheela Unnikrishnan. Saint Adi Sankara has given us six simple ways to reach the Supreme. Collectively known as the SHANMATA, these six paths worship Ganesa, Kartikeya, Sakti, Vishnu, Siva, and Surya, who are the six embodiments of the sole Supreme, PARA BRAHMAN. Popular as well as rare Kritis of Thyagaraja have been compiled in this thematic presentation and have been thoughtfully choreographed to reflect the essence of these deities through Thyagaraja’s profound compositions. Dancers: Bhairavi Venkatesan Mridula Sivakumar Sanjena Ramesh Our heartfelt thanks to Chicago Thyagaraja Utsava committee members & Varadarangam for organising & inviting us to perform in this festival.
