The E3D Titan Aero is combination of the V6 all metal hot end and Titan geared extruder. When fitted to a Creality CR-10, Ender 3 or Tevo Tornado, it removes the bowden tube to convert the 3D printer to direct drive. Although the Tevo Tornado is the target here, the other two printers mentioned are applicable to this step by step guide. This is quite an involved modification and is not for beginners. This video will guide you through pros and cons, selecting and printing an adaptor, physical fitment, firmware changes in Marlin, calibration, slicer changes and test prints. Although it was a hassle, this modification is well suited to my Tornado due to the oversize 0.8 mm nozzle I have fitted. It really helps with stringing and ringing is not a problem because I have to print at slightly slower print speeds than my other printers already. Please make an informed decision on whether or not this is for you.
