Tom Tugendhat said voters had stopped taking the Tories “seriously” and if he becomes leader he would make the Conservative Party a “serious force again”. Launching his campaign to be Rishi Sunak’s successor, Mr Tugendhat said it was “time for a new Conservative revolution”.
