Here is a video I did on the Springbok scrum throughout the 2021 season. The Springboks had the most dominant scrum in rugby this year and they used it as a weapon. I can't remember the last time a team had so much depth in the front row, it's honestly scary. No matter who starts up front or who comes in at half time, they Springboks still poses the most dominant scrum in the game. I was especially surprised with Ox Nche, I always knew he had the talent to succeed at international level, but nobody could see him develop at such a quick rate. The way his scrummaging improved in the past few seasons bodes well for South Africa and their title defence of the World Cup in 2023. This forward pack of the Springboks will be one to be remember when it's all said and done. The likes of Trevor Nyakane, Vincent Koch, Steven Kitshoff, Frans Malherbe, Malcolm Marx, Bongi Mbonambi, and Ox Nche all played their part making the scrums a weapon for the Springboks.
