No description needed. Groovin’ Hard is one of the all time greatest charts recorded by the Buddy Rich Big Band. This arrangement was written in 1970 by Don Menza and first recorded by the Buddy Rich Big Band in 1970, live at the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. This recording was issued on the album Keep the Customer Satisfied and later on Burning for Buddy. Amsterdam drummer Eric Schuijt always dreamt about playing the ‘Buddy Rich Big Band’ songs. So he studied what Buddy Rich made famous, meticulously looked at the breaks and the techniques and studied for hours in his drum studio along an Amsterdam canal. After two years he formed the Eric meets Buddy Rich Big Band and gave a concert at the renowned BIMHUIS in Amsterdam.
