This is a little ditty I wrote about a quirky little cafe/venue I used to visit almost daily when I lived in Stuttgart, Germany; THE CAFE GALÀO For those who have been there know that this place is the Jill of all thrills! A cafe with great coffee, the best toasted Schnitte’s around, a ripper live music venue (my friends and I often played by night) and a swanky club with an exotic DJ for the later part of the evening/early hours of the morning. Seriously cool little place I tell ya. What a vibe! The Galào is run by the happiest German man in the world; Herr Reiner Bocker. Reiner often greeted us with these drinks called the ‘Bohemian Cocaine’. The Bohemian Cocaine (Reiner’s invention) is made up of half a shot of Kahlua, the other half vodka, a slice of lemon dipped in ground coffee and the other side in powdered sugar.
