Polish MP-5 Gas Mask/Respirator Review and Test. The Polish MP-5 mask was a licensed copy of a French respirator from the 1990s. Poland after being free from Communism needed a new NATO style respirator but also wanted to use their older masks for reserves, so new filters had to be made to fit both the NATO and GOST masks. The MP-5 is surprisingly good, it's comfortable, the panoramic lens/visor works really well, the drinking tube can be moved out of the way by spinning the drinking tube connector area. Th
