Today the COP27 climate summit kicks off. Discover the « Causses du Quercy » natural park, in the Southwest of France, an ecosystem rich in biodiversity, shaped by pastoralism. Here, breeders choose regenerative farming practices to preserve the area. This approach is part of EPITERRE, one of the 7 projects financially supported by Kering and its Regenerative Fund for Nature, launched in January 2021 with the NGO Conservation International. This project aims to address global warming and promote biodiversity by developing 200 hectares of sainfoin and establishing new beehives for 3 years in the Lot region (France). The Epiterre project seeks to restore ecological balance and to safeguard producer livelihoods by implementing a resilient agro-ecological model that promotes the growth of quality, nature-friendly fodder. By supporting these committed farmers, Kering is making it possible to perpetuate quality farming, helping to deal with climate change and promoting biodiversity. The Fund carries the objective of converting 1 million hectares of conventional farming into a regenerative agriculture system by 2025.
