The RS 200 was Fords Group B challenger and also the last car on the Group B scene. Making its WRC debut on the 1986 Swedish rally where it finished in 3rd place. The events of Portugal and Corsica led to Ford loosing interest in the rest of the season and they only entered two more rounds the Acropolis Rally where both cars were leading for a while and the RAC Rally. The car did win the 1986 British Rally Championship with Mark Lovell at the wheel was also successfully campaigned in other European rallys. The RS 200 has had somewhat of a revival thanks in part to the Dirt Rally games and Ken Block being a hugh fan of the car.
