He began his journey in music from an early age, next to the Charango and the Zampoña. His career includes being one of the founders of the ‘Matanza’ band, with whom he created -for almost ten years- compositions loaded with influences from folklore and electronics. Rodrigo has several published record productions, such as: ‘Ay Que Sera Del Sol’ [Sol Selctas], ‘El Origen’ ft. Nicola Cruz [Wonderwheel Recordings], ‘Minero’ [Underyourskin Records], ‘El Abuelo’ [Nazca], ‘Kalimera’ [Cafe de Anatolia] & many more which are part of the global organic electronic movement, where collaborations are born with different brothers and colleagues. He currently presents a LIVE format with 4 musicians on stage, where they perform the songs of his own. The band’s sonic inspirations began in the Andean and Latin-American music. Their sound gets spiced and mixed with electronic beats, deep bass and hypnotic signing. With these musical elements and Rodrigo’s unique use of Charangos and Guitars, they create an emotional journey, aiming to connect the listeners to the collective consciousness and ancient roots. Rodrigo Gallardo es un músico compositor, multi-instrumentista, y productor chileno. Comienza su viaje en la música desde temprana edad, junto al charango y la zampoña. Su trayectoria incluye ser uno de los gestores del grupo 'Matanza', con quienes desarrolló -por casi diez años- composiciones cargadas de influencias del folklore y la electrónica. Rodrigo cuenta con varias producciones discográficas publicadas, entra ellas - ‘Ay Que Sera Del Sol’ [Sol Selctas], ‘El Origen’ ft. Nicola Cruz [Wonderwheel Recordings], ‘Minero’ [Underyourskin Records], ‘El Abuelo’ [Nazca], ‘Kalimera’ [Cafe de Anatolia] y muchas mas, que se hacen parte del movimiento de electrónica orgánica global, donde nacen colaboraciones con distintos hermanos y colegas de la ruta. Actualmente presenta un formato LIVE con 4 músicos en escena, donde interpretan las canciones de su autoría. El origen de su sonoridad está en la música andina y de raíz latinoamericana, impregnada de la modernidad de los samples, beats electrónicos, y bajos profundos capaces de comandar este viaje a través del canto, de las cañas, charangos, y guitarras, junto a líricas que buscan la conciencia colectiva y la conexión ancestral.
