VICTORIA - If an election were held today, Adrian Dix would be premier. A poll by Angus Reid Public Opinion shows the NDP leader dix has a four point lead over Christy Clark , followed by Conservative John Cummins and the Green's Jane Sterk. The survey show support for the new democrats is strongest on Vancouver Island where half of decided voters would vote NDP. The numbers are a significant win for the opposition leader who, in recent weeks, has been the subject of Liberal attack ads. Dix says he believes the numbers reflect his goal of championing issues that are important to voters and holding the government to task. And it appears voters agree. The poll shows the majority of British Columbians would vote for the NDP with 42 percent support, the Liberals 14 points back at 28 percent, the Conservatives at 19 percent and the Greens at 10 percent.
