American political scientist, Professor John Mearsheimer: As soon as you move from unipolarity to multipolarity, great power politics becomes relevant again. There are now three great powers in the system. We’re back in a world where great power politics is at the center of attention in both Asia and Europe. In Asia, it’s the rivalry between China and the United States, and in Europe, it’s the rivalry between the United States and Russia, mainly over Ukraine.
