The storyline in Khazad-dûm was my favorite plotline in the series by FAR. And thankfully, the theme for Khazad-dûm is an amazing piece of Dwarven music that builds upon Shore's prior work. A thumping, eight note ostinato played with heavy drums, low strings, and hefty brass drives the momentum and efficiency of the Dwarves of Moria, and their theme is usually played with loud, deep male vocals chanting in the Dwarven language of Khuzdul. Their theme is loud, proud, and militant, portraying the efficiency and drive of their kind. However, the theme also acts as a theme for Durin III, Durin IV's father, for the militancy and stubbornness also reflects the old king. It sounds imposing and ancient, but for the tender moments between father and son, it has a softer, kinder heart, reflecting the relationship of the two royal Durins. * = edited/rearranged TRACKLIST: 0:00 The Fading Light 1:22 Fire and Rock The Fading Light 1:27 Fire and Rock 2:00 A New Ore Fire and Rock 2:05 A New Ore 2:26 Fire and Rock 2:55 A New Ore* 3:24 The Vein A New Ore 3:33 The Vein 3:48 In the Beginning The Vein 3:53 A New Ore 4:06 The Vein* 6:19 A Leaf Burns 6:33 Father Figures 9:02 Celebrimbor's Ambition Father Figures 9:08 Celebrimbor's Ambition 10:04 Constellation of Fireflies 11:16 Into Khazad-dûm Constellation of Fireflies 11:23 Into Khazad-dûm 13:47 Khazad-dûm ℗ 2022 Amazon Music Content, under exclusive license to Sony Music Entertainment Ltd. #lordoftherings #theringsofpower Support Bear McCreary!
