2023 has been a memorable year for Africa. From coups to ground-breaking summits to wars to important elections - African Stream has been at the forefront in covering events on the continent from an African perspective. So it was only fitting to have preeminent Pan-African scholar prof. PLO Lumumba lead us in reviewing 2023's major events - and their implications for Africa. We touched on the lessons learned from Niger- how the power of the people can spearhead decolonisation efforts in Africa. We reminded African leaders that continued war in Sudan, Congo and other countries is a scar on our collective conscience and that they are charged with using their power to end all conflicts - most of which are sponsored by greedy foreign powers. We also talked about Africa's peace delegation to Ukraine, the Russia-Africa Summit, Kenya's gamble on Haiti police deployment among other topics. We also had time to delve into colonial dress codes - as exemplified by Kenya's parliamentary speaker banning African attire within the premises. And finally, prof. Lumumba expounds on how Africa can position itself in the ascendant multipolar world in order to reap maximum benefits from its unique wealth. Have a watch and join the conversation by leaving us with a comment. #2023 #Africa #Sudan #DRC
