At Smith & Wesson’s new headquarters in Maryville, Tennessee, on Friday, October 6, the one and only Jerry Miculek set the NRA World Record for hitting six steel plates with a 9mm revolver at seven yards after a blisteringly fast run. The six steel plates were eight inches in diameter and set on a plate rack. Shooting Sports USA Editor-in-Chief John Parker was on hand to capture the event details, and NRA Deputy Director of Competitive Shooting Aaron Farmer was there to certify the record and present Jerry with his NRA World Record certificate. This NRA World Record attempt was the kick-off for the grand opening of Smith & Wesson's new headquarters in the Volunteer State after departing its longtime home in Massachusetts.
