The oldest living ex-president of the United States, Jimmy Carter, gave his party’s candidate Kamala Harris an early endorsement in the election as soon as the opportunity opened up in his home state of Georgia. Carter celebrated his centennial two weeks ago (in video). If the hospice-treated former president doesn’t live to see the election date, Georgia’s “swing state” laws say the vote will still count.
